  Gym Component of Health and Physical Education - Movement and Physical Activity
   
  Learning Intention: Perform basic movement patterns with or without equipment.
  Learning Intention: Regularly engage in moderate to vigourous physical activity (Describe links between physical activity and health. Identify and describe the components of health related fitness) 
   
   
   
   
Week Term 1
1 Balance:
DMPs - Statics (Layout, Tuck, Straddle, L, Pike)
Apparatus - Balance boards, balance beams, spring to landings.
2 Awareness (Body control in relation to surroundings):
DMPs - Landings, Height/Flight, Rotation, Spring, Swing
Apparatus - Beat boards and mini-tramps, rings and bars.
3 Visual Perception:
Move the body in response to Hand apparatus (catch/propel).
4 Proprioception:
Being aware of our own body's feedback ie If I lean one way I need a counter balance.
Being aware of the way my own body moves when balancing with another person.
5 Auditory Perception:
Move our bodies in response to sound (Music cues, rhythms, apparatus noise).
6 Balance:
